The scarcity of resources and the lack of market circulation make Huanghua Pear furniture a little too high. "Classical Huanghuali furniture is rare in China now. Hu Desheng said that because the circulation of classical Huanghuali furniture in the market is too small, old materials and new products have become the mainstream trend of Huanghuali furniture.
Huanghua pear wood needs to grow for at least 500 years before it can become a log for furniture. At present, most of the old and new Huanghua pear furniture materials are collected from residents of Hainan Island, and most of them were used as beams and farm tools. It is hard to see the complete big materials. In 1996, the price of materials that can make furniture was about 160000 yuan per ton, but now it has risen to about 20 million yuan per ton. The new Huanghua pear furniture made from old materials also rose with the price of raw materials, and the price soared all the way.
This year, it is said that more than half of the auctions are rare classical furniture of Huanghua Pear in the Qing Dynasty, and 30% - 40% of the auctions are old and new Huanghua Pear furniture, which is due to the scarcity of classical Huanghua Pear furniture. Hu Desheng said that it is difficult to find the classical yellow pear, which can only be done on the old materials.
