At the China International Building Decoration Exhibition held yesterday, when talking about the situation this year, some furniture enterprises said that they were not optimistic about the impact of real estate regulation.
The market manager of a wooden door manufacturing enterprise in Shanghai told the reporter of China Business News that many wooden door enterprises have been shut down in the Fengxian wooden door manufacturing base in Shanghai, and it can be predicted that many enterprises will be shut down in the next few months.
However, Nanxun, the capital of flooring, is also not optimistic. According to relevant people close to local flooring enterprises, the audit director, marketing deputy general manager, engineering director and other senior executives of Nanxun, one of the largest flooring enterprises, have recently resigned due to the impact of sales decline. "A large number of production capacity in the entire Nanxun flooring industry base has been shut down."
Gao Zhihua, a flooring expert, told reporters that the furniture industry at the downstream of real estate would generally be affected half a year later than real estate. From the data, the real estate turnover in the second half of last year fell sharply, so the first half of this year will be the most painful period for the furniture industry.
On the other hand, as countries in Africa and other regions attach importance to resources, they have recently restricted the export of their own logs, which further increases the cost pressure of the domestic furniture industry. In the midst of internal and external difficulties, some domestic wood companies began to consider moving their factories overseas, taking advantage of the rich and cheap raw materials overseas to reduce costs.
It is understood that at present, the regions with relatively rich timber resources are mainly located in Africa, Canada, Russia, the United States and other places. For example, Gabon in Africa has restricted the export of logs in the past two years, hoping that overseas enterprises can settle in and drive the development of its wood processing industry. It provides rich conditions as a temptation, so domestic enterprises are forced to open wood processing plants to Africa and other places in order to obtain lower raw material costs.
However, many enterprises have no choice but to invest in Africa. Xu Enhui, general manager of Shanghai Yutong Wood Industry, told reporters that Africa, Congo, Gabon and other regions are rich in log resources, but Congo roads and other infrastructure construction is poor, and the situation is unstable and risky.
