The price of raw materials varies slightly due to different origins. Sichuan is the best place for Phoebe canarium, but most of the new materials on the market are produced in Guizhou and Hubei.

Beijing furniture market also began to collect gold nanmu classical furniture after red sandalwood, yellow pear and other furniture collections. In the recent more than a year, Phoebe canarium has suddenly become a "dark horse" in the Chinese traditional classical furniture market. The price has soared rapidly in a short period of time. Old fashioned furniture is priced at tens of millions, and the price of raw materials has also risen, more than ten times in three years. Industry insiders believe that the price of Phoebe canarium soared overnight. In addition to the return of its long neglected value, the lack of standards, market chaos and capital speculation have also added a fire.
Phoebe canarium becomes a new favorite?
At the end of 2011, a large number of material seekers poured into Sichuan, the origin of nanmu, and a "gold rush" was reported. Since then, the words of "demolishing houses to sell materials", "20 million gambling wood" and so on have also emerged. The price of Phoebe in the market is almost once a month, and the price of high-quality Phoebe furniture is often tens of millions.
In Beijing, Phoebe canarium is becoming a new favorite in the market. The reporter came to the Lujiaying classical furniture market in the southeast corner of Beijing, where thousands of classical furniture businesses gathered. Mr. Wang, the businessman, told the reporter that the furniture dealers in the nearby streets used to only make mahogany furniture. However, since last year, almost every family has claimed to have golden nanmu furniture, and the bidding price is also very high, which will soon become a "nanmu furniture street".
The boss surnamed Li, who has operated mahogany furniture for many years in Tongzhou District, Beijing, also told reporters that since the first half of 2011, they have basically stopped importing mahogany materials and started sending people to Sichuan, Yunnan, Fujian, Guangdong and Guangxi to collect old nanmu materials. After clearing the original rosewood inventory, they will turn to the production and sales of nanmu furniture.
The reporter also saw in the mahogany furniture store near the North Fourth Ring Road that several classical furniture enterprises, such as Luming Hall, which originally specialized in mahogany furniture, also displayed several styles of gold silk nanmu furniture in a prominent position in their own store. What is more striking is that their prices are far above the same style of mahogany furniture.
In the flagship store of Yanan Xiangjinsinan Furniture in Room No., the sales manager told the reporter that the most expensive furniture in the store was 300 million yuan, and the cheaper one was 300000 yuan. Even at such a high price, the supply still falls short of demand, and many people at home and abroad want to order.
Market price reserves
At present, there is a huge difference in the price of Jinsinan furniture on the market. Some furniture can be priced at tens of millions or even hundreds of millions, but in some smaller stores, there are furniture worth tens of thousands of yuan.
Zhou Jingnan, a researcher at the Palace Department of the Palace Museum in Beijing, believes that Phoebe parvifolia has a high historical status, and some people with sufficient funds will join the rush buying army once they have the conditions. In addition, at present, the markets of Hainan Huanghua Pear and Red Sandalwood are tending to be stable, so many people begin to pay attention to and invest in Nanmu.
Another factor contributing to the soaring price of Phoebe canarium is the scarcity of raw materials. The salesperson of Shi Yanan Xiangjinsinan furniture told the reporter that most of the wood used now is the old materials for house demolition purchased in the 1980s and 1990s, and the stock is not much. In the last three years, the real old Phoebe parvifolia materials purchased every year are less than 10 tons, and the resources are almost exhausted.
Zhuo Zuhang, the person in charge of Beijing Zhuo Wood Craft Woodware Co., Ltd. and a member of the Association of Classical Furniture Collectors, told the reporter that at present, there is no finished wood to buy from the old Phoebe Jinsi in the market, so we can only go to the origin of Phoebe Jinsi to buy the old materials for house demolition. However, Phoebe parvifolia is a national protected tree species, and cutting is prohibited. There are not many new materials in the market, which has also led to the soaring price of Phoebe parvifolia.
However, Zhuo Zuhang also told reporters that there was speculation in the price of raw materials and furniture of many phoebe on the market. He said that at present, the price of old materials for more than 300 years should be about 180000/ton, the price of old materials for more than 100 years should be between 70000 and 100000/ton, and the price of new materials should be about 20000/m3. "20 million gambling wood" obviously contains speculation.
